Thermal insulation equipment and measures for winter greenhouse Part Two

Insulation equipment
1. Heating equipment
Hot air stove: The hot air stove generates hot air by burning fuel (such as coal, natural gas, biomass, etc.), and transports the hot air to the interior of the greenhouse to increase the indoor temperature. It has the characteristics of fast heating speed and uniform heating. For example, in some flower greenhouses, natural gas hot air stoves are used to quickly adjust the indoor temperature according to the growth needs of flowers.
Water heating boiler: Water heating boiler heats water and circulates the hot water in the greenhouse's heat dissipation pipes (such as radiators and floor heating pipes) to release heat. The advantage of this method is that the temperature is stable, the heat is evenly distributed, and the low electricity prices at night can be used for heating, reducing operating costs. In large vegetable greenhouses, water heating boilers are a commonly used heating equipment.
Electric heating equipment: including electric heaters, electric heating wires, etc. Electric heaters are suitable for small greenhouses or local heating. They are easy to use and can be placed flexibly as needed. Electric heating wires are mainly used for soil heating. For example, in seedling greenhouses, electric heating wires are laid to increase the temperature of the seedbed and promote seed germination.

2. Insulation curtain
Integrated sunshade and thermal insulation curtain: This kind of curtain has dual functions. It can adjust the shading rate according to the light intensity during the day, reduce solar radiation entering the greenhouse, and lower the indoor temperature; it also plays the role of heat preservation at night. It uses special materials and coatings to reflect or absorb heat and prevent heat loss. For example, during high-temperature periods in summer, shading and insulation curtains can reduce the greenhouse temperature by 5-10°C; at night in winter, they can reduce heat loss by 20-30%.
Internal insulation curtain: installed inside the greenhouse, close to the crops, mainly used for nighttime insulation. The internal insulation curtain can be made of non-woven fabrics, plastic films and other materials. When the temperature drops at night, the curtain is unfolded to form a relatively independent thermal insulation space to reduce heat loss to the top and sides of the greenhouse. In some simple greenhouses, internal insulation curtains are a cost-effective means of insulation.

3.Carbon dioxide generator
Combustion carbon dioxide generator: generates carbon dioxide by burning natural gas, propane and other fuels. Releasing an appropriate amount of carbon dioxide in the greenhouse can improve the photosynthesis efficiency of crops. At the same time, the insulation properties of carbon dioxide also help maintain indoor temperature. Because carbon dioxide can absorb and release infrared rays, it reduces heat radiation loss. For example, when the light is weak in winter, increasing the carbon dioxide concentration can slightly increase the temperature of the greenhouse and promote the growth of vegetables.
Chemical reaction carbon dioxide generator: uses acid and carbonate (such as dilute sulfuric acid and calcium carbonate) to produce carbon dioxide through a chemical reaction. This type of generator costs less but requires regular additions of chemical raw materials. It is more suitable for small greenhouses or when the requirements for carbon dioxide concentration are not particularly high.
