The covering material is generally glass, which has better insulation and heat insulation.
Secondly, in terms of climate control.
High tunnel greenhouse provides basic protection against frost, wind, sun and rain, but lacks the ability to provide good environmental conditions for indoor plant growth in extreme weather. Conventional greenhouses are equipped with various greenhouse systems, such as cooling, heating systems, irrigation systems, lighting systems, etc., which can achieve the purpose of four-season production. And there is no requirement for the external climate of the greenhouse.
Finally, the use of greenhouses.
In terms of durability, even if the high tunnel greenhouse is properly maintained, the film covering material needs to be replaced every few years. Conventional greenhouses can maintain good production conditions for decades if they are properly maintained. High tunnel greenhouses are suitable for growers with low-cost solutions, and conventional greenhouses are suitable for commercial growers of year-round planting or high-value crops.
